Prohibited Mods

We're constantly studying your feedback to keep up with the most discussed topics within the community, one of which is modifications, or mods. One of your biggest concerns is fair play and the use of so-called "cheat mods". These unauthorized third-party modifications give those who use them an unfair advantage, spoiling your fun in battles.

Unfortunately, this is a sour subject in the whole gaming industry, as mods, including the unfair ones, are constantly evolving alongside the industry itself. There is no universal solution to this problem, but our specialists are always on the lookout for ways to ensure Fair Play.

Which mods are prohibited?

Banned mods are ones that provide players with an unfair advantage over the rest. Such modifications are added to the list of prohibited software, and players that are caught using them are punished. The list includes:

  • Modifications that reveal the position of enemies in a way not included in the client. This includes mods that mark destroyed objects on the map and minimap in real time by altering the display of shell flight tracers or calculating the position of enemy SPGs with tracers and marking them, as well as those that keep spotted vehicles displayed even when a player is neither aiming at them nor in their line of sight.
  • Modifications that make it easier to block an enemy's shell by indicating their exact aiming point (for example, with a laser beam) or mapping the estimated path of the shell flight to the playing field.
  • Modifications that alert you when spotted vehicles are reloading or show enemy vehicles' reloading timers.
  • Auto-aim mods, or so-called “aim-bots”, which provide more functionality than the aim lock in the vanilla client, specifically those that aim at the enemy's weak spots, at weakly armored vehicles, or at enemy vehicles in general and fix the sight on the target behind an obstacle or calculate the lead instead of the player.  
  • Mods that enable the automatic use of non-Premium consumables before the announcement of results of the battle.
  • Mods that aid in finding enemies by letting you adjust the transparency of objects on the map.
  • Mods that leave any tags or indicators located on the playing field where the opponent was spotted by someone from the player’s team.
  • Mods that show the direction of guns (for example, in the form of a line or a sector) on the minimap.
  • Mods that display some direction marks (like arrows) to the closest opponents who would otherwise be out of the player's sight.
  • Mods that mark adversaries beyond the draw distance (using red columns, spheres, etc.).
  • Any mods that alter the physical properties, performance characteristics, or effects of any vehicle or object in the game, or subvert the game rules.

What is the penalty for using forbidden mods?

The following penalty system has been implemented across all realms:

  • Players caught using forbidden mods for the first time will receive a warning and a seven-day suspension.
  • Players caught using mods for a second time will be permanently banned.


Say “No” to cheating, and earn your stripes.


First-timers will be issued a warning and banned from the game for seven days.


Accounts found to be cheating for the second time will be banned from the game for good.

To deliver the final judgement to the offending player, our specialists carefully check and take into consideration several factors, eliminating the possibility of a mistake. Thus, you cannot appeal against whichever final decision is made.
