Tank Profile: The Imperial Tiger

The legendary Tiger I comes in a new wrapper - introducing the Heavy Tank No. VI.

Distinctive Features

Firepower
An accurate gun with a high rate of fire and high aiming speed combine for a potential 1,885 damage per minute. This new Japanese tank can easily crush equal-tier opponents

Plenty of Shells and Affordable Ammo
The tank is able to carry 92 shells. Even taking into account the high rate of fire, that's enough for around 13 minutes of relentless shooting! In addition, ammunition goes for a song; armor-piercing shells cost around 240 Credits.

Excellent View Range
The tank's view range is 370 meters, one of the best among its peers. This Japanese Tiger can easily control defended positions or spot enemies during their attack.

Accelerated Crew Training
Owing to the special characteristics of Premium vehicles, Heavy Tank No. VI not only earns more Credits, but also enables accelerated Crew training.

High Durability
The No. VI is one of the most solid tier VI heavy tanks. The hit points make it a formidable opponent for all vehicles of the same tier, and a true steel wall that can pierce defenses and keep the deadly 88m gun firing!

Armor Protection
This relative rookie inherited the Krupp armor from the Tiger I, a tier VII heavy tank. However, this Tiger is tier VI; therefore, its armor protection is more than satisfactory. If the tank is at the top of the team list, harnessing that thick armor is a suitable tactic. Rotate the hull to absorb damage, luck shall smile upon you. Battles against tier VII and VIII vehicles will require being more careful, as 100mm of steel will be unable to help in a close encounter.

Tactical Role in Combat

Your outcome of using the Imperial Tiger on the battlefield depends on the position of the tank in the team list.

At the Top
This position gives the tank freedom to act. It has power to exchange long shots, breach defenses and hold back superior enemy forces. The Heavy Tank No. VI dominates tier VI battles. If you top the list, you should realize that the outcome depends on you.

Equal-Tier Battles
Tier VII battles are much more interesting and diverse. You must admit that it's more challenging to face tougher opponents than to shoot low-tier tanks like fish in a barrel. The German heritage of this tank offers all necessary facilities for winning. Owing to the excellent view range and 88mm gun, the No. VI will pose a problem for higher-tier vehicles, as the frontal armor of most tier VII vehicles is vulnerable to its shells. Nevertheless, frontal attacks should be ruled out, because the 100mm frontal armor isn't sloped.

Tier VIII Battles
Almost all tier VIII vehicles are extremely dangerous if you're in the No. VI. It's not a good idea to leap into action with other heavy tanks. The best tactics for the Heavy Tank No. VI in this situation would be to support groups of medium tanks and take positions suitable for hitting the soft spots of opposing vehicles. Stay behind your allies, be attentive to the minimap, and the victory will be yours!

Conclusion

The new Japanese tank offers unique gameplay without a lot of effort. It is a trusty beast that does its part by dealing damage and harnessing the qualities of its armor.

One of the most distinctive features of the Heavy Tank No. VI is its tier. The tank ppossesses almost the same characteristics as the Tiger I but comes armed with the historical and legendary 88mm L/56 gun. Furthermore, the new vehicle may be used to train a Crew for other Japanese heavy tanks, which may be available in future updates.
