9.6 Public Test

It's time again for a new World of Tanks Public Test. We're gearing up for the next update by letting everyone sample what we've been working on just before it's wrapped up and ready to go. Not to mention you can help us gather data and feedback in the days leading up to the final update release!

All World of Tanks players are eligible to take part in this Public Test as long as they registered before January 15. You don't need to be an experienced tester to join in, you just need to be willing to try out as many of the new features as you can, test out new features, and send us your feedback!

Any new or changed content for the Public Test should be considered not final and subject to change upon final update release. We strongly encourage you to send us your feedback and opinions via the forums.

These update notes are preliminary and do not contain full details of some vehicle characteristic changes. The detailed list of these changes will be provided in the final patch notes upon release.

Iteration 3 (Feb. 2)

Iteration 2 (Jan. 29)

Important Notes - Strongholds

During this iteration of the test, a number of full-scale Strongholds battles will be conducted with the [WG] Clan. In these battles, max-level Combat Reserves (X) will be used. Clans will able to use two of them per battle. The types of Rserves will be Artillery Strike and Airstrike. Each Clan can build two new structures where the Combat Reserves will be produced, then try them out in Strongholds battles.

Chat Contact List

  • Changed the structure of the Contact list (added categories, contact groups, Contact list settings)
  • Implemented a reciprocal friendship between players. Friendship can be established by sending a friend request to other players
  • Added option to create/edit/delete custom groups in the Contact list
  • Added option to search for a contact in the Contact list. (Note: will prove helpful to those who have many contacts in their list)
  • Added an option to rearrange contacts in your Contact list using drag-and-drop
  • Added activity statuses for players in the game client: in battle / in Garage. Statuses are displayed in the Contact list for player's friends
  • Rearranged the context menu actions and edited their text
  • Added the variability in actions displayed in the context menu depending on the relationship between the players and interface
  • Changed the interface of the "Invitation to Tactical Unit" window
