What is Base XP?

Base experience is the amount of experience points earned in a battle without any additional modifiers from premium time, missions, daily XP multipliers, etc. Though Wargaming's Own allows the use of Premium vehicles, the additional XP earned from using those vehicles will not count towards your base XP ranking.

Where Do I Find My Base XP Score?

You can find the base XP score listed under the "Team Score" tab on the after-battle report screen. Some Premium vehicles may display a score on this tab that includes experience from the Premium vehicle experience modifier. Be assured that the base XP scores posted on the leaderboards are the correct and unmodified base XP values.

How Are Points Assigned to Base XP Scores?

At the end of each month, we will assign points to the top 100 base XP earners in each class (Light, Medium, Heavy, TD, Artillery), in descending order from 1st-100th place. Note: A month is defined as 00:01 UTC on the 1st of the month until 23:59 UTC on the last day of the same month.

Example:

  • 1st Place - 100 Points
  • 2nd Place - 99 Points
  • 3rd Place - 98 Points

Base XP Ties

In the event of a base XP tie, both contestants will receive the highest number of points possible for their leaderboard position. The following base XP score that differs from the base XP tie will receive the points appropriate to its position on the leaderboard.

Example:

  • 1st Place - 100 Points (1900 base XP)
  • 2nd Place - 99 Points (1750 base XP)
  • 3rd Place - 99 Points (1750 base XP)
  • 4th Place - 99 Points (1750 base XP)
  • 5th Place - 96 Points (1600 base XP)

Base XP Ties Breaking the Top 100 Leaderboard

If a base XP tie extends a leaderboard beyond the allotted top 100 positions (dependent upon base XP values), that leaderboard will extend to accommodate all contestants involved in the tie.

Example:

  • 98th Place - 3 Points (1200 base XP)
  • 99th Place - 2 Points (1100 base XP)
  • 100th Place - 2 Points (1100 base XP)
  • 101st Place - 2 Points (1100 base XP)
  • 102nd Place - 2 Points (1100 base XP)
  • --End of Leaderboard--

How Do Points Affect My Ranking?

Wargaming's Own tracks monthly, seasonal, and year-long base XP leaders. Points are acquired over the course of this year-long competition, and the more points that you receive, the better! Monthly leaderboards count only base XP scores from that month. Seasons encompass a total of three months and points earned at the end of each month will affect the contestant's seasonal ranking (considered separately from the entire year). The year-long leaderboards account for points accumulated by each contestant (in all classes that they placed in) from all seasons combined.

How Many Prize-Winning Positions Are There?

  • Rewards increase in value as one moves higher up in leaderboard rank.
  • Each month contains 100 leaderboard positions per class for a total of 500 positions.
  • Each season will contain 100 overall positions + 5 Seasonal Best-In-Class positions.
  • The end-of-year leaderboard will contain 100 overall positions + 5 year-long Best-In-Class positions.

Note: We are looking to provide as much prizing as we can. It's possible that prizing will increase over the course of the year.

How Many Positions Can I Occupy on a Leaderboard?

Contestants can occupy only one position on a single class leaderboard. That having been said, this does not stop a contestant from acquiring a coveted position on each top 100 class leaderboard every month for a maximum point total of 500 points a month. Additionally in seasonal and end-of-year rankings, it is possible for a contestant to occupy both a/multiple Best-In-Class position(s) and an overall leaderboard position.

Can I Substitute Prizes If I Already Have That Prize on My Account?

There are no substitutes for prizing rewarded. In the event that a contestant receives a duplicate of a tank that they already have in their garage, they will receive the gold equivalent value of that tank.

Will Changing My Name Affect My Ranking?

No! Contestants are tracked by a unique ID and changing one's in-game name will not affect one's cumulative point total.

Making Your Way to the Top

Even if you don't have the time to commit to prolonged battle sessions, just remember that it only takes one great game to get onto a leaderboard! On top of that, each month will have in-game missions and Premium Shop bundles to support your battle efforts in the appropriate tier. The best part is, everything is automatically recorded by us at Wargaming, so the only thing you need to do is concentrate on having fun in the appropriate tier.
