  • Dates: Starts on December 5, 2025, and ends on January 12, 2026.
  • Garage Transformation: Your Garage once again transforms into a festive Village with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Headquarters. For the first time, you can switch between day and night themes at will!
  • Event Currency: There are four types of Resources—Rock Crystal, Pure Emerald, Warm Amber, and Meteoric Iron. You can earn them in various ways:
    • Collecting them daily in your Village.
    • Completing daily missions.
    • Visiting Best Friends' Villages.
    • Receiving them as gifts from Large Boxes.
  • Festive Atmosphere: Has 10 Levels. Increase your Levels using Rock Crystal and Pure Emerald to unlock rewards like Personal Reserves, Crew Books, special crew members, a festive 2D style, and more.
  • Best Friends Feature: Mark two players as Best Friends. Visit their Villages to gather extra resources and unlock unique customization elements.
  • Benedict Cumberbatch: This year’s Holiday Ops Ambassador! 
    • He brings 20 Assignments: Use Warm Amber and Meteoric Iron to complete these, boosting credit and XP bonuses while unlocking unique customization elements.

Focus on collecting Rock Crystal and Pure Emerald to quickly raise your Festive Atmosphere Level. To earn customization elements and economic bonuses, complete Benedict’s Assignments by investing Warm Amber and Meteoric Iron.

  • Holiday Ops Challenge: The central activity of the event!
    • 28 Days, 56 Missions: Each day, a new card with two missions opens. Completing either mission grants you a blue seal, while completing both missions rewards you with a red seal—bringing you closer to keeping Chaffee forever!
    • Two Progression Tracks: Complete blue seals to earn Challenge rewards—vehicle discounts (including Tier XI), Experimental Equipment, bonds, decals, inscriptions, and Benedict Cumberbatch as a tank Commander with voiceover. Red seals advance Chaffee’s bar and bring extra prizes.
  • Chaffee the Dog: Unlocks at Festive Atmosphere Level II, providing daily rewards for completing simple missions.
    • Chaffee Forever: Finish both missions on 14 Challenge cards for a 50% gold discount, or complete all 56 missions to keep Chaffee in your Garage permanently!
  • Redshire Cat: Unlocks at Festive Atmosphere Level V, offering Assignments and customization elements upon completion.
  • Holiday Ops Store: Available once you reach Festive Atmosphere Level X. Spend your resources on past Holiday Ops customization elements (from 2018–2025). If you already own some, you’ll enjoy discounts on the remaining items.
  • Gift Terminal: Trade in Tokens (another event currency) for gifts like Experimental Equipment, consumables, Crew Books, and more.

This year, Holiday Ops is under the creative guidance of Benedict Cumberbatch, a world-famous actor renowned for his sophistication, versatile talent, and mastery in bringing unforgettable characters to life. You’ll encounter Benedict in his festive Headquarters.

Besides his trademark wit and impeccable style, Mr. Cumberbatch brings a new set of Assignments to complete for cinematic stories, his signature customizations, and a growing bonus to either credits or XP earned.

How to Complete Assignments

  • Invest Resources: Spend certain amounts of Warm Amber and Meteoric Iron to bring Benedict specific items.
  • Step-by-Step Progression: Assignments are completed one by one—finish the current task to unlock the next.

What You’ll Earn

  • Customization Rewards: One cool inscription, two awesome decals, and two distinct 2D styles with unique Marks of Excellence.
  • Economic Bonuses: Every completed Assignment increases all economic bonuses in Random Battles, enhancing your credits and XP (Free, Combat, and Crew). Reaching Festive Atmosphere Level X unlocks these bonuses not only for Tier X vehicles but also for the brand-new Tier XI’s!

Bonuses to XP also apply until the end of the event, but only one bonus can be active. By default, the bonus to Combat XP will be selected. You can change the type of active bonus to XP at any time in your Village. Active bonuses to XP apply to all vehicles in the game except Premium and rental ones.

Visit Your Best Friends’ Villages for Extra Resources and Bro-Themed Customizations!

During Holiday Ops 2026, visit your Best Friends’ festive Villages daily to collect extra resources from their icebreaker ships.

On the day you join Holiday Ops 2026, two people from your Friends list will be assigned Best Friend status. Your initial Best Friends will be chosen from those who have already joined the event; you can replace them with different Best Friends if you like.

The resources you receive in your Best Friends' Villages are gifts and won’t reduce your friends’ stock. Plus, each time you visit and collect resources from your friends, you get closer to unique friendship-themed customization elements:

  • A set of 6 inscriptions (for collecting resources 6 times)
  • A set of 6 decals (for collecting resources 12 times)
  • A 2D style with unique Marks of Excellence (for collecting resources 24 times)

2D Style: "Game Night"

Festive Village: Choose Between Day and Night Magic!

For the first time in World of Tanks, you can switch between day and night in your festive Village! By default, the time changes the same as it does outside your window. But you can always click on the giant hot-air balloon to perform a little holiday miracle and swap between sunlight and starlight.

The name of the Village will carry over from last year automatically. You can choose something different if you like, but only once. If you didn't participate in Holiday Ops last year, your Village will be assigned a random name when you join the event (you can change it once).

Don’t forget to visit the Headquarters, where the witty Benedict Cumberbatch will provide you with his special Assignments. Take care of Chaffee the Dog, who will bring you delightful surprises—and you may even be able to keep him in your Garage forever (but more on that a little later). And be sure to explore the three stunning Decoration Zones: the Christmas Tree, Fair, and Installation. Use all your creativity to make these areas shine with unique decorations!

Increase Your Festive Atmosphere!

Holiday Ops 2026 features 10 Levels of Festive Atmosphere. You’ll begin at Level I and can progress through all 10 Levels as you participate in the event.

To increase your Festive Atmosphere Level, upgrade the Decoration Zones from Level 1 to 5 with Rock Crystal and Pure Emerald. Leveling up any Decoration Zone gives you Festive Atmosphere Points that add to your Festive Atmosphere.

Holiday Ops Challenge — Recruit Benedict and Keep Chaffee Forever!

The centerpiece of the event is the Holiday Ops Challenge. Here's how it works.

Twenty-Eight Days, Fifty-Six Missions, Two Progress Tracks

  • 28 Cards—56 Missions in Total: The Challenge runs for 28 days. Each day, a new card appears with two combat missions to complete in Random Battles with Tier IV and higher vehicles.
  • Blue and Red Seals for Different Progressions: Complete any mission from a card (the blue seal) to progress in the main Challenge. Complete both missions (the red seal) on the same card to advance Chaffee’s bar.

A red seal only counts if the blue seal on that card is already completed!

  • Missions Stack—Finish Later: Missions stack, so you can postpone a card’s second mission and complete it later.

  • In-Game Goodies: Doing one mission per card (blue seals) is enough to earn Challenge progression rewards: discounts on researchable vehicles (including Tier XI), Experimental Equipment, bonds, and much more.

  • Extra Rewards from Chaffee: Finishing the second mission on cards (red seals) earns you extra rewards and fills the Chaffee progression bar.
  • Dog Discount: Finish both missions on 14 cards (28 missions total) to unlock 50% off Chaffee for gold.
  • Dog Forever: Complete both missions on all 28 cards (all 56 missions) to get Chaffee permanently for free in your Garage!

Keep Chaffee Forever: With Bonuses and Endless Fun!

At Festive Atmosphere Level II, your loyal companion Chaffee returns to your Garage with familiar sacks packed with holiday gifts.

  • Complete three simple daily missions to receive an extra sack for each one.
  • Upgrade these sacks by purchasing special bundles for credits and gold. These will enhance the rewards inside the sacks and make them even more valuable (even unopened sacks will automatically upgrade!).
  • Plus, the second, third, and fourth bundles come with instant 2D customization elements (including a brand-new Chaffee-themed 2D style).

2D Style: "Bag of Bones"

Keep in mind that all the 3D items for Chaffee’s place in your festive Village will disappear once Holiday Ops 2026 ends, but the inscriptions, decals, and style are yours permanently!

Keep Chaffee Forever!

This year brings a big twist. Now you can now make Chaffee your permanent Garage companion! To do so, either:

  • Complete all 56 Holiday Ops Challenge missions (free Chaffee!), or
  • Finish both missions on 14 cards for a 50% discount in gold, or
  • Simply adopt him by spending gold.

Once Chaffee is with you for good, you can rename him. Enjoy his playful tricks in the Garage and unlock bonuses:

  • Permanent +10% credits for your first 10 battles of the day
  • Extra rewards and special Chaffee events. While you’re in battle, Chaffee doesn’t just sit calmly—he explores the Garage and gets into little adventures. After your first battle each day, you’ll always get one fun Chaffee event with a surprise reward—such as Personal Reserves, credits, directives, or other useful items. After that, Chaffee events will appear randomly after a certain number of battles—the more you play, the more surprises he’ll bring!

Over time, your friendship with Chaffee will grow stronger. The more you interact with him, the more affectionate and cuter he becomes—unlocking new animations and reactions that will make you smile and feel a real connection with your loyal companion.

But remember: If you leave Chaffee alone for more than a week without any interaction, he’ll start to miss you, and you’ll need to rebuild his trust through new interactions and playtime.

Where to Find Chaffee

You’ll find Chaffee both in the Ambassador’s Headquarters and near the festive sleigh in your Village.

Before Chaffee becomes permanent, he’ll happily run up to the sleigh—but you won’t yet be able to rename him, use a special bonus, or build up your synergy. Once he’s yours forever, the full interface around the sleigh will unlock, letting you play and interact with him and enjoy all his lively reactions.

After Holiday Ops ends, the sleigh in your Village will transform into a new permanent interactive object, with your renamed dog by its side—guarding your holiday spirit all year round! 

Unlock the Holiday Ops Store!

As soon as you reach Festive Atmosphere Level X, you can access the Holiday Ops Store, which will appear in the game client. Invest resources in festive customization elements from previous Holiday Ops events (2018 through 2025, including Bro-wards, Redshire Cat's items, and Chaffee’s special 2D style from 2025). Depending on how many you already have, a proportional discount will apply to each set!

Among many points of interest in your Village, the Gift Terminal is a special one: it’s full of surprises! You can receive random presents by inserting Tokens into it. Tokens can be obtained in multiple ways.

  • Reaching certain Festive Atmosphere Levels in your Village
  • Completing Holiday Ops Challenge (one Token per mission)
  • Receiving them as gifts from the Advent Calendar
  • Spending 2,000 of any Holiday Ops resource, available if:
    • Festive Atmosphere Level is X
    • 20 of Benedict's Assignments have been completed

One Token will bring you a single random gift. You have a good chance of getting your hands on Experimental Equipment or components for it!

Each Large Box is guaranteed to have 250 plus a bonus: 150 random Holiday Ops resources, and 50 resources depending on the box type. On top of that, you may discover:
