The Kris Kringle Clash is a multi-day tournament running from December 5th through December 18th. Teams of five will fight their way through three days of group stage, with the top 64 teams moving on to one of two, 32-team single elimination playoff brackets! The winner of each playoff will face off in a special  Champion vs. Champion  round, with the ultimate champion walking away with some cool special prizes!

Group Stage

  • All confirmed teams are separated into groups, with a maximum of 10 teams per group.
  • Battles begin every 10 minutes and last 7 minutes max.
  • Teams play a round robin, facing each team in their group once.
    • Three points are granted for a win, one point for a tie, no points for a loss.
  • Teams will be ranked based on their cumulative Points Ratio (total points earned : total points possible).
    • Points earned and points possible from all three group stage days will determine the final rank.
  • The top 64 teams, based on final rank, will move on to the Playoffs.
    • The 64 teams will be split into two 32 team single elimination playoffs.
    • Teams will be seeded into the playoffs based on Final rank, using an S-curve seeding.
  • If there is a tie and more than 64 teams qualify for the Playoffs, all teams will move on.
    • With more than 64 teams, there will be an extra playoff round (Round of 64) played on Sunday, December 11 at 15:30 PT / 18:30 ET.
    • Gold prizes do not change; only the top 64 teams will earn a gold prize. To earn gold, a team must move on to the Round of 32.

Playoffs

  • The top 64 teams from the Group Stage, based on final rank, move on to the Playoffs.
  • Teams will be seeded based on their final rank. Teams will be seeded into one of two 32-team single-elimination Playoff brackets using S-curve seeding.
  • Battles last 7 minutes max. There is a 2 minute break between battles within a round.
  • The winner is determined by a best of 5 (BO5) series of battles
    • The first team to win three battles will move on to the next round.
    • If no team wins three battles, the team with the most battles won will move on. Scores will be updated manually before the next round begins, as needed, to ensure that the correct team advances.
    • If teams are tied (e.g. 0-0, 1-1, 2-2) neither team advances and both are eliminated from the tournament.
  • The Final match will be the first to 3 wins out of a maximum of 30 battles.

Champion vs. Champion

  • The Champion team from each playoff bracket will face each other on the final day of the tournament. The winner will earn a Corsair Strafe Keyboard.
  • The tournament may be streamed.
  • Battles last 7 minutes max. There is a 2 minute break between battles.
  • The winner is determined as the first to three wins out of an unlimited number of battles.
Reporting Disputes

Reporting Disputes

A dispute is a claim against an illegitimate result by an opponent’s violation of a written Tournament rule.

Disputes must adhere to the protocol detailed below or risk having the dispute dropped by tournament administration.

  • Disputes must be submitted immediately after the round has concluded.
    • For the group stages, all disputes can be submitted after all battles for that day have ended
  • Disputes must be emailed to tournaments@wargamingamerica.com
  • The email subject/title must include the word “Dispute:” followed by the name of the event for which you are filing a dispute.
  • Disputes may only be filed by the team captain or any team member listed under team’s contact details.

Disputes must include the following in the body of the email or risk having the dispute dropped by tournament administration:

  • In-game name of the player submitting the dispute
  • Name of the Tournament
  • Your team’s name with a link to your team’s page created for you during registration
  • Your opponent’s team name and a link to your opponent’s team page created during registration
  • Reason for dispute: e.g. “I would like to report the team for using a tank that was not allowed, the StuG III.”
  • An attached replay of the disputed battle(s)

Additional notes:

  • Opposing team captains will be alerted of the dispute by forum PM after the dispute is processed.
  • Captains are responsible for monitoring their PM inbox.
  • Three upheld disputes during a group stage reverses all scores from the offending team for that round.
  • One upheld dispute during playoffs disqualifies the offending team from that round.
  • Publicizing disputes prior to resolution is subject to penalties at tournament admin's discretion, not limited to:
    • Disregarding the dispute
    • Immediate team disqualification
    • Removal of offending player from the event

Registration Rules

  • Registration ends Monday, December 5 at 11:00 PT / 14:00 ET
  • Teams may only include clan names/tags in their name if at least one member is directly affiliated with that clan.
  • Teams may only use WGLNA team names if they are directly affiliated with that team.
  • Keep all team names alpha-numeric. Any teams that are not alpha-numeric may be changed at any time.
  • WG reserves the right to change inappropriate team names.
  • By participating, you agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions, as stated above and by the official tournament rules.
Remakes & Server Issues

Remakes & Server Issues

  • A technical or server issue is any istance where the server is unable to correctly dieliver the tournament battle, impeding tournament progress for all teams.
  • Any decisions regarding server issues will be posted in the tournament forum discussion thread as soon as possible. Please be sure to check there for any information!
  • If server issues cause a missed battle, it will be resolved one of three ways. Please be sure to check the forums for how any issues will be resolved.
    1. The tournament admin will reschedule the battle for the same day. The battle will be rescheduled within 30 minutes.
    2. The tournament admin will reschedule the battle for the next available day. If needed, there will be fewer group stage day(s) or playoff round(s) so that the re-scheduled round will occur.
    3. The battle will not be rescheduled and teams will play one fewer battle (group stage) or one less round (e.g. only two days of group stage vs. three days). Scores will be adjusted, if needed, to account for the missed battle.
  • Map, team size and tier settings cannot be adjusted once the tournament begins.
    • Map settings are valid and the matches will count, even if set incorrectly.
    • Team and tier settings are NOT valid unless they match the tournament page. If possible, the tournament will be rescheduled with the correct team and tier setting. If not possible, the tournament will be cancelled and all players will be compensated.
  • If players need to be compensated for technical issues, they will receive a maximum of 250 gold as compensation.

  • Prizes are credited to player accounts as quickly as possible.
  • It can take up to 7 days after the tournament has concluded before players are credited with their prize.
  • If it has been more than 7 days OR if there is a problem with the prize, please contact tournaments@wargamingamerica.com.

Corsair Keyboard Special Restrictions

  • Must be a resident of any of the 50 US states or Washington D.C.
  • In-game goods of equivalent value will be provided for any players outside the 50 US states or Washington D.C.
