Update 1.17.1 Common Test is Here!

Commanders!

Today marks the start of the first Common Test of Update 1.17.1. Join in to participate in epic 30v30 Frontline battles with an updated progression system and other balance changes!

Frontline is available for preliminary testing. The progression system, values, and all rewards relevant for the Common Test are not final and may not correspond to those in the final version of the mode.

The second launch of Frontline 2022 takes place in August and will keep its main principles. This is still an epic 30v30 same-tier battle in which the attackers will need to capture the points of the defenders and destroy their large-caliber gun turrets. However, instead of 15 Frontline Tiers, the progression system will now have 20 Tiers. Increasing the progression will be a new challenge for those of you who want to earn more rewards.

With the expansion of the progression system, we've redistributed the total number of Frontline Experience points needed to reach a new Tier.

There will be five additional Frontline Tiers in the mode. To keep the progression system consistent, each new Frontline Tier will earn you 20 Battle Pass Points.

Each Tier will bring you more rewards, meaning that you can now earn even more useful goodies by playing in your favorite mode. You’ll also be able to choose the type of directives you receive as a reward. Upon reaching the final Tier, you’ll get a larger number of bonds, a Training Manual, and other lucrative rewards.

Also, for the first time in the game, you’ll be able to reset crew skills for free using the new reward, Retraining Orders. These new items will be distributed across the progression and allow you to experiment more freely with your crews, adjusting them to suit your playstyle for each vehicle.

Changes to Combat Reserves

In addition to the rewards for each Tier achieved, we’ve also redistributed the Combat Reserve Points required for upgrading Combat Reserves. The cost of Combat Reserves themselves will also change. We’ve also reduced the start timer for Combat Reserves by 50%. The timer will be set to 0 when unlocking a new Combat Reserve and respawning in a new vehicle. And now, you can even set the selected type of Combat Reserves for all Frontline-eligible vehicles of this class.

Last but not least, this July, we'll be introducing something unusual to World of Tanks. Get ready for an uncommon new mode that will shake up the classic game rules and allow you to play with non-standard settings. What will it look like? That’s a surprise! But one thing is for sure: It’ll be anything but ordinary! So, stay tuned, and enjoy your summer!
