The first Common Test of Update 1.16 has started, Commanders!
Join it to be among the first to try out the third (and final) Season of Ranked Battles 2021–2022. You can also test various balance improvements on the Siegfried Line, Ghost Town, and Erlenberg maps, as well as the addition of the Assault mode to several Random Battles locales. Let’s take a closer look.
Map Balance Improvements
We improved three Random Battle maps to address several minor issues we’ve noticed with them. Check it out.
Siegfried Line
- A position with a bunker for the lower team was added, allowing you to control the field and the passage in the town as you would from the position of the upper team.
- We also improved the entrance to the town for the lower team, as well as for the attackers in Assault Battles.
- Driving through the ruins is now smoother and more comfortable.
- The position for defense in the town for the lower team was improved.
- We removed several trees that allowed opponents to fire at the lower team without being spotted.
- We also changed the location of the spawn points in Assault Battles so the attacking team can better control most of the map.

Erlenberg
Encounter Battles are unavailable for this map. We also made the following minor adjustments for Standard and Assault Battles on this map to balance the gameplay possibilities for both teams:
- Part of the building below was removed to increase communication between the sides:
- The house model below was replaced to minimize long-range firing at those crossing the river:
- Balance changes weren made to make your gameplay more comfortable in several positions as shown below:
Ghost Town
- In Assault Battles, the location of the base to be captured was changed.
- The ground surface was leveled under the unfinished building (this change is also relevant for Assault Battles).

Test the Final Season of Ranked Battles 2021–2022!
During this Common Test, the third (and final) Season of Ranked Battles 2021–2022 is available in a test format. It features a short progression system, after completing which you can try the Improved Reward screen for selecting pieces of improved equipment as part of the Annual Reward. Jump in to be among the first to test it and provide feedback so you can help us make Ranked Battles even more enjoyable!

ExpandMain Changes
The visuals and sound effects of shots, hits, and reloading for guns of the same type were adjusted—they are now the same; gun parameters remained unchanged.
Map Changes
Erlenberg Map Improvements:
- The Encounter Battle mode was removed due to a strong imbalance of the sides.
- Balance changes were made to Assault and Standard Battles to balance the capabilities of the teams.
- Terrain on positions in square E5 is now playable.
- A part of a building was removed to increase interaction between the teams in square F6.
- The house model was replaced to minimize long-range fire at vehicles crossing the river at square E7.
Siegfried Line Map Improvements:
- Balance changes were made to Assault and Standard Battles to balance the capabilities of the teams.
- A position with a bunker in square H6 for the lower team was added to facilitate control of the field and the passage in the town similarly to the position of the upper team.
- The entrance to the town (in square G6) for the lower team, as well as for the attackers in Assault Battles were improved.
- In square F6, a pile of debris that covers vehicles from opponents that drive uphill were added.
- Driving through the ruins in square F5 is now more comfortable.
- The defensive position in the town (square F7) for the lower team was improved.
- Several trees in square C6 were removed because they allowed opponents to fire at the lower team without being spotted.
- The terrain of the central entrance to the town in square F5 was changed to provide cover for the lower base team.
- The location of the spawn points in Assault Battles were changed. The attacking team can better control most of the map.
- In Assault Battles, the location of the base was moved a little closer to the attacking team.
Ghost Town Map Improvements:
- In Assault Battles, some map changes were made to balance the capabilities of the sides.
- The location of the base was changed towards the urban area in squares E7, F7.
- The shape of the building was changed and the pit has been removed in squares E6, F6.
- The following maps now support Assault Battles:
- Redshire
- Steppes
Battle Pass
Resources for Battle Pass Season VII were added. The Season will become available in the next iterations of the Common Test.
Ranked Battles
The reward screen for selecting pieces of improved equipment was enhanced.
The Ranked Battles Season will be available in a test format during the Common Test until February 6 at 15:00 PT | 17:00 CT | 18:00 ET.
Changes to Technical Characteristics of the Following Vehicles
U.S.S.R.
The T-44-100 tanks of all communications service providers (R)/(U)/(B)/(K)/(M) were replaced with the T-44-100 (I), a single vehicle for all subscribers of the "Igrovoy" tariff. The vehicle has the same technical characteristics. All achievements, awards, statistics, equipment, crew, and customization elements were saved and transferred to the new vehicle. More information about the vehicle, as well as the transfer details will be available in the release article of Update 1.16.
