The Soviet T-62A is a similar tank to its predecessor, the T-54, but with some differences. First, the T-54 is faster and has better hull armor compared to the T-62A. However, the T-62A has better turret armor and the turret is located a little farther forward. The T-62A is not a front-line fighter, and is more suited to skirmish tactics due to its weaker hull armor. Among the tier X medium tanks, the T-62A has the fastest rate of fire (nearly one round every five seconds), lending it great penetration as well.
