Team Clash, an epic battle of World of Tanks commanders, is coming to the game! For the first time this year, three Team Captains from WoT NA will lead teams of players as they compete in a special 7v7 mode to find out whose team is the strongest.

Event Summary

  • In Team Clash 2021, three teams of players led by three Team Captains will fight in a special 7v7 mode to find out who’s the strongest.
  • Join one of the Team Captains’ teams from Friday, Jan. 29 at 09:00 PT | 11:00 CT | 12:00 ET through Thursday, Feb. 4 at 15:59 PT | 17:59 CT | 18:59 ET in the game client.
  • Earn Points for your chosen team by playing 7v7 battles in Tier X vehicles on a select set of maps with a separate matchmaking queue.
  • You can also fulfill special battle missions in Random Battles in Tier IV–X vehicles and earn personal progression Points as a reward.
  • There will be two progressions, personal and team, each rewarding you with its own set of prizes.
  • The main prizes (for your personal and team progress) await you at Level 10 of the team progression. You can earn a unique commander with the appearance of your chosen Team Captain and an exclusive voiceover, a mind-blowing 2D style, and unique customization elements.
  • After you reach Level 10 of the team progression and grab all the main prizes, you’ll have the opportunity to receive additional rewards up to Level 30.
  • Claim rewards in the client before Monday, Feb. 8 at 02:00 PT | 04:00 CT | 05:00 ET.

How Can I Start Playing?

To join a team, register between January 29 and February 4 by clicking on the banner on the right-hand side of your Garage, just above the tank carousel. After you have registered and joined one of the teams, you can access the Team Clash interface in two ways:

  • Select it from the drop-down menu to the right of the “Battle” button.
  • Click on the banner on the right-hand side of your Garage, above the tank carousel.

After joining a team, you won’t be able to swap sides, so think carefully before making your selection!

Earning Points

All the Points you earn in Team Clash go towards both the personal progression and team standings. The team with the most Points earned by its members wins.

You can earn Points for your team in two ways:

  1. Play Team Clash* battles
  2. Fulfill the following battle missions in Random Battles in Tier IV–X vehicles and earn personal progression Points:
  • Mission: Successful Start
  • Mission: Step By Step
  • Mission: Quick Learner

Rewards:

  • 4 Points

Conditions:

  • Cause 5,000 HP damage in any number of battles

Restrictions:

  • Must be in a vehicle Tier IV-X
  • Once per day

Conditions:

  • Earn 4,000 XP in any number of battles

Conditions:

  • Must be in a vehicle Tier IV-X

  • 5 Points

Conditions:

  • Be one of the top five XP earners on your team in a Victorious Battle

*Team Clash Battle Format

General

  • Led by their Team Captain, players battle in teams of 7 against teams of the other captains.
  • Battles will take place in Encounter mode, in Tier X vehicles only, on the selection of maps** below.
  • Total battle time is 10 minutes.
  • The base capture time depends on the number of vehiclesIt will take 180 seconds for one vehicle to capture the base, and 120 or 90 seconds for two or three vehicles, respectively.
  • Each player will get 5 Points for a victory. The Points for a defeat will depend on your position in your team's post-battle ranking by XP earned. 3 Points will be granted for defeat if you are one of the top 3 players by XP earned. 2 or 1 Points will be granted for defeat if you are in the top 5 or 7 players by XP earned, respectively.
  • Map exclusion is not possible.
  • The Anonymizer works.
  • In this mode, only researchable and Collectors’ Vehicles are allowed.

Platoons

  • Each team can have no more than one Platoon.
  • Only players belonging to the same team can enter the battle in a Platoon.
  • Dynamic Platoons are not allowed.
  • If there is a Platoon on one team, there will always be a Platoon on the opposing team.
  • If the waiting time is long, a Platoon imbalance is possible (for example, a Platoon of three players on one team against a Platoon of two players on the other).

Matchmaking

  • During the event, the matchmaker will create a separate queue for players fighting in this mode.
  • Each team can have no more than one SPG in its ranks.
  • The number of SPGs is always the same for each team—either one on each team or none at all.
  • The matchmaker aims to send no more than three (3) vehicles of one type (MT, HT, LT, TD, wheeled vehicles) into battle.
  • The following deviations are possible if the battle waiting time is too long: 3 TDs, 7 MTs/HTs/LTs. Deviations of up to 3 vehicles are also possible. (For example, 7 HTs against 4 HTs and 3 MTs.)

Economy and Statistics

  • Personal Reserves can be used.
  • ×2 XP for the first victory of the day continues to apply.
  • The referral bonus remains in effect.
  • Personal missions can’t be completed.
  • Random Battle achievements can’t be earned.
  • 7v7 mode statistics don’t affect Random Battle statistics.
  • 7v7 battle mode statistics can’t be viewed.

Unique commanders will be credited to players' accounts during the post-event phase on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 05:00 PT | 07:00 CT | 08:00 ET, along with any unclaimed personal and team rewards.

Rental Vehicles

All rental tanks are only available for Team Clash 2021—it’s impossible to enter Random Battles or other modes using these vehicles.

To play Team Clash 2021 and try your hand at the 7v7 format, you need to have at least one Tier X vehicle in the Garage. If there are not enough suitable vehicles in your Garage, or you don’t have any Tier X tanks yet, you can rent select vehicles for free. All these rental tanks are replicas of existing vehicles with the same characteristics and properties.

IMPORTANT
The first rental tank will be credited to all players who have registered for the event and joined a team. However, it will only become available for playing when the event starts.

As you make your way through the team progression and earn points, four more rental Tier X tanks will gradually be unlocked for you:

Perks

To help you and your team earn more progression Points in battles, Team Captains will have the opportunity to directly influence the course of the struggle. To do this, they need to activate perks. There will be 6 perks in total. Check them out!

Morale Boost
Team members receive bonus Points after battle.
Frontal Assault
The team receives an objective to earn a certain number of Points in an hour. If the condition is met, the team will be rewarded with bonus Points.
Intense Battle
Team members receive a ×2 Personal Point bonus for victories achieved in less than 4 minutes.
Prudent Approach
Team members receive a ×2 Personal Point bonus for victories achieved where no more than 2 allied vehicles were lost.
Territorial Control
Team members receive a ×2 Personal Point bonus for victories achieved via base capture.
Fire Barrage
Team members receive a ×2 Personal Point bonus for victories achieved via destroying all enemy vehicles.

The duration of each perk after activation is one hour. Team Captains are free to decide which perk to activate and when. Each day, they can activate all six perks, but only twice per Prime Time (except for Frontal Assault, which can only be activated once per Prime Time). No two perks can be active at the same time.

Bonus to Points Earned

Team Clash 2021 promises to be incredibly intense, and teams will be constantly fighting to overtake each other in the rankings until the end of the event. To ensure the spirit of fair competition and the matching of equal and competitive teams, a special bonus to the Points you earn will be credited to both your personal and team progression. This bonus will become active on the second day of the event and will apply to the team currently in 3rd place.

If you join the 3rd place team, the number of Points you earn over your first 10 Team Clash battles will be doubled. This bonus remains even if your team climbs to 2nd place during these 10 battles. It's quite likely that the bonus will move often from one team to another as the rankings change, so you can easily join a team that has fallen behind and help it retake the lead.

During periods of high load on the server, Points may be credited with a delay.

Personal and Team Progression Systems

There will be two types of progression: personal and team.

  • You earn personal progression Points by participating in Team Clash battles and by completing special missions in Random Battles. At the start of the event, you will begin at Level 1 of the personal progression with 0 Points. Upon reaching 70 Points, your personal progression level will increase by one level, and you will start the next level with 0 Points. You will also be rewarded with a Supply Crate containing valuable in-game items.
  • By increasing your personal progression level, you also contribute to your team’s progression. Upon reaching each new level, you get a reward, but only if your personal progression level is equal to or higher than your team progression level.

Correction Coefficients for Earning Points

To guarantee an equal opportunity to win for teams with significantly fewer players, a special balancing coefficient will be applied to the Points earned by their members.

This coefficient will be calculated once a day based on the difference in the number of battles each team has played, up to a maximum value of 5. The coefficient applies only to the net Points earned by a team after the end of prime time and doesn't apply to points earned with multipliers such as Points for perks, special bonus to earned Points, and Points for completing battle missions. All net Points earned by each team will be multiplied according to this coefficient, allowing smaller teams to compete on equal terms with bigger ones.

Points earned in excess of the number required to complete the current progression level are carried over to the next one. For example, if you have 69 out of 70 Points, and you earn 3 more Points, then 1 Point will go towards completing the current level, and the other 2 Points will be credited to the next level.

Claim Your Unique Commander!

The main prize you will receive after completing Level 10 of the team progression is a unique commander, whose appearance and voiceover come from your Team Captain, with Sixth Sense (as a "zero-Perk"). The amount of experience required to learn additional skills or perks depends on your team’s place in the final standings.

  • The 1st place teams will receive a commander with enough experience to learn a maximum of three Skills/Perks.
  • The 2nd place teams will receive a commander with enough experience to learn two Perks.
  • The 3rd place teams will receive a commander with enough experience to learn one perk with Sixth Sense (as a "zero-Perk") only.

Unique commanders will be credited to players' accounts during the post-event phase, before Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 05:00 PT | 07:00 CT | 08:00 ET.


After you reach Level 10 of the team progression and grabbed all these cool prizes, you’ll have the opportunity to receive additional rewards up to Level 30.
