Tankers!
Team Battles have been providing outstanding fun for everyone wanting to try competitive gaming in small, organized, seven-member teams. Since their implementation, countless tanks have risen to victory or been sent to the scrapyard, and tremendous amounts of data and feedback have been collected.
And with that data, the decision has been reached that changes are necessary. Many experiments have been put through testing with the help of top Wargaming.net League players and other testers. As a result, we have crafted a new and improved Team Battle mode.
Features
- Seven Players: One thing that hasn't changed -- Team Battle remains a 7v7 mode.
- Two Permitted Tank Lineups: Five tier VIII tanks and two tier VII tanks. Or six tier VIII tanks and one tier VI. No more tier I vehicles as scouts! Now every vehicle can deliver significant firepower.
- Special Carefully-Crafted Assault Maps: All battles will be played in Assault variation on maps specially adjusted for 7v7 needs.
- Map Lineup: The first iteration of the new mode will include Cliff, Himmelsdorf, Winter Himmelsdorf, Kharkov, Arctic Region, Murovanka, Prohorovka, Ruinberg, Siegfried Line, Steppes, and Tundra. Click the maps below for looks at each:

- Two Bases on Each Map: Defenders will now have two bases/capture points to protect. Each base has a separate capture meter, and points do not stack between the two meters. Likewise, resetting one meter does not influence the other.
- Shorter Battles, Longer Cap Timers: Battles have been shortened to seven minutes each. Bases will now have a 120-second timer instead of the 100-second timer from standard battles.
How Do I Win?
It’s easy! All you have to keep in mind are these three rules:
- Attackers can win by destroying all defending tanks or capturing one or both bases at the same time. Capturing one base is enough to achieve victory!
- The defender has to destroy all attacking tanks or survive with at least one operational vehicle until the end of the battle, while preventing the attackers from capturing the base.
- If time runs out and neither team has been destroyed, or neither base was captured, the defenders are proclaimed victorious.
The new Team Battle will be available with Update 9.4. Want to try it before then? Get in on the Common Test, coming very soon!
