[UPDATED] It's Pumpkin Bash Time!

Dear pumpkin bashers!

We see you are enjoying our new Halloween game mode, and we want to make it easier for you to participate and not worry about losing credits.

Here are the changes:

Daily missions: We decided to add an extra daily mission that gives you up to 150,000 credits each day for playing Pumpkin Bash battles.

Event progression: We decided to make the mission that rewards you with crew members and customizations easier to complete.

Changes will come into effect with the start of the 2nd stage of the event.

Are you ready for some light-hearted but very intense and fun engagements filled with sorcery? From October 19 at 04:30 PT | 06:30 CT | 07:30 ET through November 3 at 02:00 PT | 04:00 CT | 05:00 ET, the Pumpkin Bash event will boil and bubble like a magical cauldron. Come one, come all—for heated PvP revelry and some nice prizes, among which is the loyalty of the first crew of coven members in World of Tanks!

Battle Mechanics

Eligible Vehicles

You can participate in Pumpkin Bash battles in any Tier VI–VIII vehicle. The matchmaker will try to set up a single-tier, 15v15 battle. If that isn’t possible, the matchmaker will consider other options: first, multi-tiered battles, and then the 10v10 and 7v7 formats.

Wheeled vehicles will have separate battles in the Pumpkin Bash mode with the same matchmaker logic. On some occasions, you may have to wait in a queue for your battle to start.

For those who don’t have wheeled vehicles, the following rental ones will be available for the duration of Pumpkin Bash:

Victory Conditions

Unabashed Halloween PvP fun shows in very special victory conditions. In Pumpkin Bash engagements, you can win in either of the following ways:

  • Capturing both (yes—BOTH) bases
  • Helping your team do more overall damage than the other side before the battle ends

Resurrection

Relentless foe-bashing is more than welcome because, should your vehicle get destroyed, you respawn again in the same vehicle in designated Resurrection Points, with no limits for resurrections. You come back into battle with full ammo, regular consumables, and special consumables (Combat Abilities) that you had at the battle’s start. By the way, repairs and ammo are free and unlimited in Pumpkin Bash. It should be noted that you receive neither credits nor XP in Pumpkin Bash battles, but the prizes more than make up for that!

Combat Abilities

Pumpkin Bash magical Combat Abilities come in addition to regular consumables in event battles. Passive Combat Abilities give your vehicle some juicy bonuses, and Active Combat Abilities bestow some quirky beneficial effects upon your ride. They cost just 3,000 credits each in the in-game Store. Before a Pumpkin Bash battle, you can outfit your tank with up to three different Combat Abilities, mixing and matching them as you wish. It doesn’t matter how many of them are Active or Passive. You can even go all Active or all Passive.

Combat Abilities are activated with the 1, 2, and 3 buttons, and the shell types are instead mapped to the 7, 8, and 9 buttons. This is for your convenience, as you most likely will use Combat Abilities more often than you will change your shell type in Pumpkin Bash battles. The regular consumables stay in their place (buttons 4, 5, and 6).

Jack-o’-Lantern

The Jack-o’-Lantern is an arcane source of various super buffs you may pick up during the battle, some of which can potentially alter the battle’s course. Cast a glance at the minimap often (as you always do), and you’ll know when this epically magical drop appears. Keep in mind that the Jack-o’-Lantern bonus is random, so you won’t see what you’ll pick up until you do! Once you have it, you keep the buff until your vehicle is destroyed.

Flaming Jack
Each hit sets the enemy vehicle on fire upon penetration.
Decaying Jack

Maps

Pumpkin Bash battles take place on four maps. These locations will seem vaguely familiar because they have been “Halloweenified,” becoming mysterious and even mystical. While the maps are darker than usual, a full moon is shining brightly over each of them, so you’ll see where to drive to and what to aim at. Take a look at some misty vistas below!

Progression

Stages

The Pumpkin Bash progression consists of five Stages. For every Stage, there’s a three-day period to complete its Quests and claim the rewards. After that, the Stage gets locked and the next one starts. Make sure not to miss any of the Stages—some of the prizes’ features work only in a team (more on that in the Rewards section below). And make sure to log in daily for a helping of Combat Abilities!

Halloween Points

Sorcery-infused armored combat gives you Halloween Points after each battle you win. The number of Halloween Points you receive is calculated according to the same rules as the amount of XP in Random Battles.

Quests

Every Stage has two Quests for you. To complete the first Quest, you need to earn Halloween Points. You will receive bonds and regular consumables. The second Quest of every Stage requires you to use a specific Combat Ability in multiple Pumpkin Bash battles. The reward is a fabulous female crew member or a sarcastic feline crew member, plus a special personalized 2D style of theirs and some decals.

Rewards

Witch Crew

Bonds and consumables are good, but we dare say the first-ever witch crew is even better! Especially considering it’s a fully voiced crew of sorceress tankers and their token cat. And by “fully voiced,” we mean every crew member has custom lines and reactions to what is happening in a given moment.

Cordelia Astra

Witches can operate technical appliances if the setting is right—which is the case. These ladies can even command various sorts of armored battle machines. Not so long ago, Cordelia Astra had a magical tank and a crew no less magical. She is extremely attached to the rest of the witches in her coven, and now wants to reconnect with them in this strange world they have all been accidentally thrown into.

Sybill Brennheart

When you are the youngest member of a small witch coven operating a magical tank, you aren’t bossed around or mentored. You are cared for and genuinely liked due to your energetic and cheerful personality. Only sometimes, there come reprimands for mischief like partying too much and being too loud (and too fiery). For now, Sybill Brennheart is done with that and ready to rejoin her crew.

Aurelia von Alden

Witches being careless and frivolous is a horrible, deeply insulting stereotype. Commoners who believe it are insulting every practitioner of magic devoted to learning, discipline, self-control, and accomplishment, especially those who come from a family of an immaculate repute, like Aurelia von Alden. Now, she needs to recollect herself, reunite with the team, and study her new surroundings from a researcher’s perspective.

Deirdre Grimmhildt

If this tank crew of four witches were a pop group, Deirdre Grimmhildt would be its kind-hearted drummer. She likes cookies, so there’s always lots of crumbs in her pockets for all the small hungry critters. She loves her sisters-in-arms, and always offers the bulk of the cookies to them. (They love her too, so they only take one each.) Deirdre Grimmhildt knows her friends will find her, and her skills as a natural-born mechanic will be needed again.

Caudamius

All cats look mysterious. And when you establish eye contact with them, you always get a feeling they have a story to tell. Under the gaze of this one, you realize that his tale is about something more than a piece of raw meat snatched and devoured, or somebody’s favorite curtains torn to ribbons. If only he could talk…

Wait, he actually CAN talk?!? And did he really say what I think he said? Oh my... how disrespectful!

To get your witch crew talking (and to make your battles feel like something between a road trip and a magic carpet ride), you need to fill every crew slot in your vehicle with a magical crew member. This means you can enjoy their dialog in any vehicle with 2–5 crew slots, which is why it’s important to complete all five Stages of the Pumpkin Bash event! However, if you do miss some Stages, don’t worry—you’ll still be able to unlock supernatural crew members, 2D styles, and decals for gold later.

When only the commander, Cordelia Astra, is present in a tank of yours, the limited second-option soundtrack will activate, which features the lead witch’s vocals.

Cordelia Astra
Commander
To succeed as a witch and a tank commander, one should be able to heal both souls and machines. Cordelia Astra can mend a crack in an armor plate or a tear in the team with equal ease.
Sybill Brennheart
Gunner
A blazing personality and a talent for fire spells quite naturally puts you into the position of gunner. Sybill Brennheart is able to add a bit of her magic to every round fired.
Aurelia von Alden
Loader
A witch who is also a loader must do everything to protect the ammo rack. Aurelia von Alden has a very high arcane proficiency, and her shield is large enough to cover the entire vehicle.
Deirdra Grimmhildt
Driver
Every driver loves striking up a conversation. And once you start chatting with Deirdra Grimmhildt, it seems like the vehicle is moving faster. Must be some kind of sorcery…
Caudamius
Radio Operator
This one sits on the radio transmitter and purrs. If needed, he can go for the enemy’s eyes and other vulnerable parts. ‘Nuff said.

Also, all five members of the team have the Coven zero perk. It works exactly like Brothers in Arms but has a special arcane flair. On top of that, each witch—and the cat—has enough experience to fully train a second perk or skill right off the bat (pun intended).

2D Styles

Each Pumpkin Bash heroine and their hero cat comes with a fit-all 2D style. Their patterns are the same, but the coloring is different. Along with the reward ones, there are two more 2D styles to remember Halloween 2022: “Iron Jack” and “Boo”. They are both obtainable in special packages in the in-game Store.

  • "Boo" 2D Style
  • "Iron Jack" 2D Style

  • "Aurelia" 2D Style
  • "Caudamius" 2D Style
  • "Cordelia" 2D Style
  • "Deirdre" 2D Style
  • "Sybill" 2D Style

Known Issues

Expand
  • If a player’s vehicle gets destroyed while spotted, it will respawn spotted. Any possible harm resulting from this will be offset by a temporary invulnerability shield applied to every vehicle after it gets resurrected.
  • The gun reload time shown in the Garage and in battle may differ insignificantly (with the former exceeding the latter by less than 1%). In such cases, the correct reload time is the one shown in battle.
  • If a player disconnects while in battle with Combat Abilities activated and then reconnects, the activated abilities may not be highlighted in the UI.
  • Battle replays are not officially supported for Pumpkin Bash battles, but you can still record them. Minor graphics glitches (mostly UI-related) are possible.
  • If you enter the Pumpkin Bash event screen (the one with the progression Stages shown above) and then go to the Exterior screen, the in-game Store (via Daily Mission or Extend WoT Premium), or Missions screen (via Daily Mission), and then go back to your Garage, you have to click on the Pumpkin Bash window to get on the event screen again. (I.e. when you go back to your Garage, you find yourself where you always get when you launch the game.)
