Recently we outlined how we would clamp down on players who gain an advantage in combat with third-party mods and other software, as part of the new Fair Play Policy; a renewed effort to make World of Tanks a more fair play experience for everyone.
Following up on our promise to clean up the game, we’ve taken action against players who were found to be using prohibited modifications. As it stands, 252 players on the NA server are banned for seven days. Those who participated in “Top Tankers” were automatically disqualified from the event. If they continue to use illegal mods after the ban is lifted, they will be banned permanently.
We’ll continue tracking down those who violate the Fair Play Policy and make sure they can’t spoil your enjoyment of World of Tanks. Expect more ban waves in the future.
