Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)
The Flair and the Fury

The rare Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f) is once again on sale! This heavy tank was captured from the French and retrofitted for German service. It's got enough speed and firepower to dominate any battle.

Does the Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f) fit your profile, or should you save up for something different? Find out below!

Summary | Loadout

The Good

  • Good all-around armor
  • Highly maneuverable and quick for a heavy tank
  • Good aim time

The Bad

  • Deals less damage per minute (DPM) than other heavy tanks
  • Sides give the enemy a large target

The Ugly

  • Less penetration than other tier IV heavy tanks; use Premium shells to penetrate harder targets, and learn enemy weak points

Reasons to Buy

  • You like lower-tier battles and want a tank that won't see battles above tier IV (unless Platooned with a higher-tier tank)
  • You want to be the center of attention in each battle
  • You want a good, if quirky German Crew trainer

Reasons Not to Buy

  • You want a higher-tier Premium heavy tank (try the Churchill III)
  • You want another German-modified captured French vehicle, but a medium tank (try the Pz.Kpfw. S35 739 (f))

These are only suggestions! Feel free to see what works best for you.

Crew Skills & Perks

This tank has a strange Crew configuration: You can either train a new Crew for this tank or use existing Crew members, though you may lack some Skills as Safe Stowage and Snap Shot are only trainable on the Commander, who acts as a Gunner as well. Pay attention to where you are assigning Crew from before you retrain them -- this can lead to a Crew with redundant Skills.
