New Premium Tanks for Update 9.6

We know you love getting new tanks, and we love telling you about them! In the ramp-up to the release of Update 9.6, we thought we'd share with you first looks at two new Premium tanks heading to the French and Japanese Tech Trees: the AMX Chasseur de chars (a.k.a. AMX CDC) and STA-2, respectively. Both are tier VIII medium tanks that help flesh out the selection for both nations, and they're just plain worth trying, to boot.

Here's a look at the two Premium tanks that will be coming to the Premium Shop in the coming weeks.

France
AMX Chasseur de chars

With a 57 km/h top speed and horsepower to match, the AMX CDC approaches the mobility of a light tank. Plus, the 90mm gun (usually found on heavy tanks and tank destroyers!) and ammo capacity of 90 makes for quite an effective weapon. Just be mindful of the CDC's armor strength and stay out of trouble to maximize the gun's potential.

It's best to drive the CDC as a classically defined medium tank: sniping and support rather than head-on fighting, and picking up the slack in scouting when needed.

STA-2

Damage, damage, damage -- a mantra to live by in the STA-2, because it deals it rather well. Its damage-per-minute clocks in at 2,028; one of the best among its peers. Along with that, its average penetration is 185mm, more than passable for tier VIII medium tanks. Still, cautious support-style play is advised to keep you in the game. Nevertheless, the STA-2 has great potential in the right hands, plus its depression (-10 degrees) make for a reliable vehicle that's characteristic of the Japanese medium line.

Whether purchased in-game or via the Premium Shop, Premium vehicles can boost your Credit and Experience earning, along with accelerated training for any of your Garage's compatible Crew (in this case, medium tank Crews)!
