2012: On the Warpath

Tankers!

2012 was an incredible year for Wargaming, and we wanted to show you everything that you've helped us accomplish during that time. It was a year of new heights, accolades, and epic experiences -- in-game and out -- and we're humbled to have been able to share them with you.

Here are some of the things we're proud of from 2012:

And you also helped raise $400,000 USD for charities in North America and Australia

Wargaming

  • The Wargaming.net service was revealed and launched
  • World of Warplanes entered closed beta
  • World of Warships' first screenshots were released
  • World of Tanks Generals, a free-to-play browser-based collectible card game was announced
  • More than 600,000 attendees visited us at trade shows around the world
  • Wargaming became one of the fastest growing companies in the game industry, with more than 1,300 highly skilled professionals across 11 global offices in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia
  • Wargaming took important steps to strengthen and secure its production capacity by acquiring BigWorld Pty Ltd., an Australian based middleware developer

All of this is helping us to grow through next year and well beyond. What you see above is only the tip of the iceberg, and it is only possible because of you: our community. We can't thank you enough for your support, and we're thrilled to share even more incredible experiences with you in 2013.

We'd like to close out the article by sharing this quote from Victor Kislyi, Wargaming CEO:

“Our key objectives for the year 2013 are many — deliver two new online free-to-play worlds, continued the expansion of World of Tanks with creative and passionate new content, and further reinforce our ties with our community...We will also continue to explore new possibilities offered by the free-to-play MMO space to provide players with unique gaming experiences and unite as many people as possible in our free-to-play universe.”
