Join the Steel Hunter Challenge In-Game

On top of the regular event Progression, we've added a special Steel Hunter Challenge with a leaderboard to this episode of the popular battle royale mode.

Register for the challenge through the banner in the Steel Hunter Garage and then prove your skill in the Steel Hunter mode to collect Points and climb to the top.

You are ranked after the first battle, and your performance will be evaluated over each set of 10 battles. Improved results will boost your score on the leaderboard. The higher your rank, the better the rewards you'll receive at the end of the challenge.

Steel Hunter Contributor Tournament Overview

The Steel Hunter Challenge is not just a way to showcase your prowess and claim ultimate victory. It is also your path to participate in the Steel Hunter Contributor Tournament.

The brand-new Steel Hunter Tournament format, driven by some of your favorite contributors, divides players into teams, and only the best will proceed to the finals. Whether you're a seasoned Steel Hunter veteran or a newcomer looking to prove your mettle, there's a place for you in the arena.

Tournament Structure

Stage 1: Qualification

In order to participate in the Contributor Tournament, you have to join one of five Contributor Teams before the end of the qualification phase on 2024-07-30 at 21:59:00 (UTC). You can only sign up for one team, and switching afterward is not possible, so choose wisely!

The individual leaderboards for each team are updated once a day. Check this article to see your current position. At the end of the qualification phase, the top 15 players of each team proceed to the next stage.

Sign up for the challenge of your favorite contributor and take on the competition.

Stage 2: Play-In

From July 31 to August 2, each contributor will host a Steel Hunter tournament. Players who qualify will compete in the best of five rounds format, with points distributed according to performance.

Stage 3: Finals

On August 4, the best Steel Hunter players from each of the contributors' tournaments will clash in a best of seven ultimate showdown to determine who takes the crown and the big cash prize. Tune in to the channels of participating contributors to see the action unfold.

Earn Progression Points and Steel Seals for Rewards

• Play the much-loved battle royale mode to collect Progression Points and earn Steel Seals by playing well and completing event-specific daily missions.
• Progression Points will advance your Progression and reward you with various prizes for every completed Stage.

• Steel Seals can be exchanged for exclusive customizations and exciting rewards of your choice in the in-game Store, available until 2024-08-14 at 13:00:00 (UTC).

Brand-new Progressive 2D Style

Feast your eyes on the new progressive "Tempered Steel" 2D style, exclusive for the Steel Hunter mode.

The stunning customization has a total of five progression levels and comes with three customizable inscriptions that can only be unlocked through special missions during the Steel Hunter episode.

Style Progression Missions

To find each mission condition, head to Customizations, select the "Tempered Steel" 2D style, and hover over the level or inscription you want to unlock next. A pop-up tooltip will show the conditions and your current progress.

Your progress will be carried over to future episodes of the game mode, so you can continue toward a new level in the next launch. Complete the first Stage of Steel Hunter Progression to receive the style, and don't miss the chance to show off your journey from novice to master Steel Hunter.

Changes and Improvements

While the core mechanics of Steel Hunter remain, we've implemented several quality-of-life improvements to enhance gameplay:

• Enhanced Sniper Mode: Nearby loot is now more transparent, making it easier to spot and collect.
• Updated Ability Tooltips: Ability tooltips have been enriched with detailed and helpful information, ensuring that players can make more informed decisions.
• Steel Hunter Garage Redesign: The presentation of Steel Hunter vehicles' strengths and weaknesses has been revamped for better clarity and strategy planning.
• Progressive Marauder Loot: As battles progress, loot from Marauders gets better, with the best rewards available toward the end of the match.
• Vision Cone Loot Display: All loot within a player’s Vision Cone is instantly shown on the minimap, allowing for quicker and more strategic gameplay decisions.
• Vehicle balances:
  • Tier IV guns of the Harbinger and Walküre have been slightly improved.
  • The effectiveness of all the Arlequin's guns has been reduced (except its dual gun).
  • The Beowulf's durability bonus from the Hit Points option has been reduced, and its guns have been made equally effective in the final stages, reducing the DPM of the magazine reloading option.
