Clan Wars Compensation Policy - Update

Commanders!

We have updated our policy regarding compensation in case of technical issues in Clan Wars and Strongholds. The compensation rules now in effect are as follows:

Rules of Compensation Regarding Technical Issues on Global Map and Clan Functionality

1. These rules have been developed to ensure stable and quality service for players that participate in battles on the Global Map and Strongholds.

2. Players are eligible for compensations in cases of  technical problems with Clan functionality, Global Map functionality, or WoT gaming servers that may lead to financial or material losses.

2.1. Compensation for Strongholds covers only Stronghold Attack/Defense battles. There is no compensation coverage for Stronghold Skirmishes.

3. All instances of compensation may require mass or individual compensation.

3.1. Mass compensation for Clans is performed if >5% of CW participant Clans (participating in battles on the Global Map) were affected by technical problems on the day in question. Compensation is represented by the amount of Gold equal to a day of Premium account cost multiplied by 15. The Gold is transferred to the Clan treasury.

Should the map be locked due to an interruption, any "Frozen" chips will become available after 24 hours.

Compensation for players participating in Strongholds Attack/Defense battles will be the amount of Industrial Resources which Clans lost in those battles.

If it is impossible to determine the exact Industrial Resource loss that a Clan has sustained, then compensation will take the form of 20% of the maximum Durability of that Clan’s Command Center at the moment that the Clan is compensated.

Compensation will be distributed only once to the Clan’s Command Center.  If the Command Center does not have the Storage capacity to accept the full compensation amount then the Industrial Resource surplus (from compensation) would disappear.  Clans must ensure that their Command Center has enough free space to fully receive the entirety of compensation granted.

3.2. Individual compensation is performed in cases where few Clans were affected by technical problems. Game server issues are examined only when mass compensation is applicable. Compensation for Global Map participants is represented by an amount of Gold equal to a day of premium account cost multiplied by 15. The Gold is transferred to the Clan treasury.

If Clan headquarters were removed due to a technical problem, it will be possible to return them to the map within 24 hours.

4. Mass compensation is performed at Wargaming's discretion based on the accumulated log data concerning the affected Clans.

5. Individual compensation is performed at Wargaming's discretion, based upon player requests (using the Support system).

  • Such requests should be sent within 24 hours after an incident
  • Clans should also provide detailed and specific information about issues they have faced
  • If possible, such requests should include attached battle replays reflecting the problem
  • Clans are obliged to provide screenshots proving the battle did take place (Global Map image, World of Tanks client, etc.)

6. Compensation is not performed in the following cases:

  • The battle in question was played
  • Either Clan would be unable to field a team based on the number of "chips" present on the territory in question (battle would be a "technical victory/defeat")
  • Issues arising within data centers where we have our servers placed
  • Internet service provider issues
  • Power interruptions affecting servers or web services
  • Other circumstances outside of the control of Wargaming (Force Majeure)

7. Compensation may be declined if the problem cannot be confirmed.
