Winners of the Scheldt Writing Contest!

On September 21st, a writing contest began. We asked players to write a 800 - 1000 word entry that needed to have something to do with the Scheldt Campaign that occured between September 21st and October 2nd 1944. For more information on this contest, please click here.

We received over 45 submissions, and, spent about a week reading and rereading all the entries. Finding the winners proved to be a difficult task as many of the entries were very well written. After we finally narrowed down the finalists to 11 entries, we then took the time to brainstorm and figure out the winners  (we, being 4 NA WG staff). Because of how hard this was, we added a 4th and 5th place, and 2 honorable mentions.

Here are the winners:

  • 1st Place: Fighting Gray by Crucible
  • 2nd Place: A Fritter Too Far by Phalnx
  • 3rd Place: The Steak Eater and his Croissants by Grimdemenor
  • 4th Place: Uncle George by Fatzinger
  • 5th Place: The News Game by Sabot_Magnet

Honorable Mentions:

  • The Price of Victory by Machamochi
  • Letters from the Fuhrer's Man by TheBoogeyMan105

Congratulations to all you!! Thank for sharing your talent and skill with us - we throughly enjoyed reading all your submissions.
