The Scheldt Campaign Writing Contest

Do you think of yourself as a military specialist? Do you think you have what it takes to write military articles on battles and tactics? Or are you skilled in writing detailed stories from the first person perspective? If you do, then we want you for this contest.

The Canadian army, on September 21st, was ordered to secure the area of Scheldt. Moving northward, after securing Antwerp, the main battles started on October 2nd. The Scheldt Campaign Event was divided into three different operations:

  1. Operation Switchback
  2. Operation Vitality
  3. Operation Infatuate

We ask of you to choose one of these operations, and use all your creativity to write a minimum of 800 words to a maximum of 1000 article, story, or military writing based on what happened during that step.
