Update 1.9: List of Changes

Main Changes

New Vehicles

Added the following vehicles:

  • BT-5 (U.S.S.R.) Transition from the BT-2
  • Caviler (U.K): Transition from the Matilda
  • T6 Medium (U.S.): Transition from the M3 Stuart

HP Pool Rebalance

  • Increased the HP pool of all Tier I–VI vehicles.
  • The ammo rack capacity of some vehicles was also increased:
    • Ensures a more consistent durability progression from Tier to Tier.
    • Ensures improved overall performance, effectiveness, and survival time in low- to mid-tier battles, making them more enjoyable. New players can learn more from each of their battles and become better at the game more quickly.

Tech Tree Changes

  • Added a new Collectors' Vehicle category, which mostly includes low-Tier vehicles. 
  • The Tech Tree interface was made more user-friendly, simple, and clear, especially for new players.
  • All 92 vehicles relocated from the Tech Tree remain in the game. They will become Collectors’ Vehicles, which can be purchased for credits in the Store. To rebuild the Tech Tree properly, some vehicles switched Tiers or even types. Also, some new tanks are introduced to the game.
  • Also, starting from Tier V, some transitions between vehicle branches were removed from some Tech Trees.

Boot Camp Changes

  • Now, Boot Camp completion is rewarded with a special medal.
  • The interface was improved.
  • A new video is played once Boot Camp is completed.

Movement Physics

  • Improved the interaction between vehicles and some types of obstacles.
  • Wheeled vehicles can now turn at a sharper angle when driving in reverse upon releasing the "Forward" key and holding the "Right" or "Left" key.

Interface

  • Added new elements to the interface of the "On Track" missions to make the functionality more noticeable and ensures better understanding of discounts and mission conditions.

Other

  • The 64-bit World of Tanks client is now used by default if the player’s PC corresponds to the recommended system requirements for RAM.
  • Progress in Boot Camp (if it has not been completed) will be reset.
  • The technical characteristics of the vehicles used in Boot Camp will correspond to those of vehicles in the Tech Tree.
  • The dynamic indicator of increased Industrial Resource gain has been added to the CLAN screen; the sounds have also been reworked.

Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed the issue when the text of the "Create Platoon" button in the Garage extended beyond the button itself at screen resolutions below 1366×768.
  • Fixed the issue when gun reloading sound was played before reloading occured.
  • Fixed the issue when a Platoon could go into a battle before all Platoon members confirmed their readiness.
  • Wheeled vehicles will not be catapulted if they are pushed into indestructible objects.
  • Optimized performance in Frontline mode.
  • Fixed the issue when the base capture progress bar remained despite being destroyed when inside the base circle while playing for the attacking team.
  • Removed the option of training crew members for a vehicle that is unavailable to the player.

Known Issues

  • There is no protection from spam-clicking on the minimap.
  • The order of events for received damage is sometimes mixed up in the damage log.
  • The client cannot be maximized to full-screen mode while the player is having a Skype call.
  • When a vehicle hits the ground without damaging modules, the sound of taking damage is played.
  • Oscillating aiming circle in 16× and 25× magnifications in Siege Mode during Frontline battles.
  • The reticle indicator remains on the SPG after switching to Artillery mode if a vehicle partially intersects the red line.
  • Events at the end of the battle are not synchronized with the text of the battle result.
  • In some cases, automatic repair/replenishment of ammo and consumables after a battle does not take place, even if the amount of credits on the account is sufficient.
  • In some cases, fallen trees fall through the terrain.
  • Consumables are not replenished from the Depot if the player does not have enough credits for a complete automatic ammunition resupply.
  • Low volume of the vehicle destruction sound.
  • Upon successful completion of the "Alliance-14. Knock-Knock" mission during the Chimera operation, the failed mission icon is displayed after the battle.
