WGLNA Finals "Blackjack" Sweepstakes Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR GAME PLAY NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE OR GAME PLAY WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
ELIGIBILITY: OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE TWENTY ONE (21) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Employees, officers, directors and agents (and their immediate families (parent, child, spouse or sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of Wargaming America, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
TO ENTER: You may enter in one of the following two (2) ways:
(a) Game Play Entry. Between 3:01 p.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on February 2, 2016 and 2:59 p.m. PT on February 9, 2016 (“Sweepstakes Period”), win at least twenty one (21) World of Tanks PC battles in a public game, fill out the form available at https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form?EQBCT=93d1c02d9a674e2f8e6daed0d67649f8, and you will receive one (1) entry into the sweepstakes. If you do not have a World of Tanks account, you must establish an account to play. Establishing an account is free.
Or,
(b) Mail-in Entry. To enter without playing the game,mail a 3x5 card with your name, address, age, and daytime telephone number to: Wargaming America, PO Box 8250, Emeryville, CA 94662. All Entries must be handwritten, and be received within six (6) days following the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
The “Mail-in Entries” together with the “Game Play Entries” shall be collectively deemed the “Entries.” There is no limit on the number of Entries you can receive; however, there is a limit of one (1) Mail-In Entry per handwritten, stamped outer envelope. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
DRAWINGS: Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing held on February 15, 2016 from all eligible Entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received. Potential winners will be notified by mail, phone, and/or e-mail with instructions on how to claim their prize. Potential winners may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and, unless prohibited, Publicity Release and a W-9 Form within five (5) days of date of issuance. If a potential winner does not respond to the initial notification within the time period stated, all required documents are not returned within the specified time period, a prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these rules, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner may be selected. Only three (3) alternate winners will be selected for any prize. If, after three (3) alternate winner selection and notification, the prize still remains unawarded, such prize will not be awarded.
PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”): Grand Prize (2): One (1) ticket to WGLNA Finals (Las Vegas, NV, February 27, 2016); roundtrip, coach class airfare to Las Vegas, NV, flying in on February 26, 2016 and returning on February 28, 2016. If winner lives within 250 miles of Las Vegas, NV, then Sponsor may provide ground transportation in lieu of airfare; one (1) single occupancy hotel room in Las Vegas, NV for two (2) nights (ARV: $1,000). Total ARV of all prizes: $2,000. No other items are included in the prize except for those stated herein and Sponsor is not responsible for any additional costs such as baggage fees, ground transportation, food, etc.
Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem a prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. Winners of prizes valued at $600 or higher, if any, will be issued a 1099 for the actual value of the prize. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Limit one (1) prize per person/household.
PUBLICITY GRANT: Each winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, game user name and character (if applicable), address (city and state), photograph (including, if applicable, game profile photo), voice and/or other likeness and prize information, for advertising, trade and promotional purposes, in any manner, in any and all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation or notification to, or permission from, winner.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, undelivered or garbled game plays or results, Entries or email or postage-sue or illegible mail; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the sweepstakes, the processing of Entries, the functionality of the game, the announcement of the prizes or in any sweepstakes-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this sweepstakes or downloading materials from or use of the website. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the sweepstakes or website or who are in violation of these Official Rules or who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated Entries will be void. Should any portion of the sweepstakes be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of Entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the sweepstakes (or portion thereof) and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winners from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Entrants, by participating, agree that Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute regarding Entries received from multiple users having the same account, the authorized subscriber of the account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the account by Sponsor.
This sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules and is governed by the laws of the State of California without reference to its rules concerning conflicts or law. By entering, each entrant agrees to comply with these Official Rules, the Terms of Use of Sponsor’s Website and the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy posted at http://worldoftanks.com/en/content/docs/privacy_policy/. Any claims relating to this sweepstakes must be resolved in the state or federal courts of CALIFORNIA.
WINNERS LIST: For the names of the winners (available sixty (60) days after end of sweepstakes), please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: PO Box 8250, Emeryville, CA 94662. Please specify “ATTN: WINNER REQUEST: WGLNA FINALS “BLACKJACK” SWEEPSTAKES” on the envelope, for receipt no later than one (1) year after end of sweepstakes.
