Basic Provisions

Basic Provisions

Game server

  • The Tournament games will be played on the US1 (NA East). The Tournament Planner has the right to change the game server when necessary.

Names of the teams

  • The names of teams should not contain special characters or repeated punctuation marks. The teams that violate this provision will not be allowed to participate in the Tournament. The teams with names that violate the User Agreement or Game Rules, shall be renamed by the Tournament Planner manually.
  • Any disputable situations will be mediated only by the referees of a match.
  • The Tournament Planner has the right to modify the Regulations, with a preliminary notification on the official forum, by highlighting the modification or added provisions.
  • Players must comply with the User Agreement of the MMOG World of Tanks, as well as with the Game Rules.
  • Teams that violate the tournament’s regulations may be disqualified by the referees.

Team Composition

  • A team must include at least 3 regular players and at least 1 reserve player. The total number of regular and reserve players must not exceed 4 players. A team that is composed of fewer than 3 players is not allowed to participate in Tournament battles.
  • Any member of a team can fight in any vehicles that are allowed by Tournament regulations. A reserve player can substitute a regular player in any battle and in any vehicle that is allowed by Tournament regulations. Regular and reserve players shall not declare the list of their vehicles.
  • Players can enter the tournament with one team only
  • The name of the team must comply with rules of the game
  • Any member of the team may enter battle with any vehicle permitted by the tournament regulations. A reserve player may substitute a regular player in any battle with any vehicle permitted by the tournament regulations. The teams should not announce the vehicles chosen by the regular and reserve players.
  • If a team enters a battle with an incomplete squad and no reserve player can enter a team, the battle will start with an incomplete team.
  • If during a match there is a technical failure, the whole match shall be replayed, independently of the results of the battles played. The following cases shall be considered technical failures: failure to transmit the battle results to the Championship page, failure to create a game room, or crashing of the game server.
  • The teams cannot change the line-up of the team after the start of the tournament.

Tournament rules

Match settings

  • Battle mode: Attack-Defense
  • Battle time: 10 minutes.
  • Interval between battles in a match: 3 minutes.
  • The initial respawn shall be determined randomly by an automatic system, used for performing tournaments.
  • Teams may include vehicles of different nations.
  • Only Tier X vehicles are allowed to participate in the Tournament.
  • The total amount of vehicle points in a team will be 30.
  • Players can use Premium vehicles, shells and consumables.

Maps

  • Mines (tie-break map: Prokhorovka)
  • Cliff (tie-break map: Steppes)
  • Prokhorovka (tie-break map: Himmelsdorf)
  • Steppes (tie-break map: Mines)
  • Himmelsdorf (tie-break map: Cliff)

The maps will be changed with each turn in accordance with the abovementioned list and repeat after all maps are played.

Win Conditions

  • The match winner is the team that is the first to gain 3 victories in a series of 5 battles (5th battle is a tie-break).
  • The battle winner is the team that captures the enemy base or destroys all enemy vehicles.
  • In case both teams have an equal number of victories on maps, a tie-break shall be played to determine the match winner.
  • If during a match there is a technical failure, the whole match will be replayed, independentof the results of the battles played. The following cases shall be considered technical failures: failure to transmit the battle results to the Championship page, failure to create a game room, or crashing of the game server.

Tie-breaker

  • In case both teams have an equal number of victories on maps, a tie-break shall be played to determine the match winner. An invitation to a tie-break battle shall be separately submitted by the automatic system that performs Tournament battles (within 5 minutes after the completion of all regular battles of a match).
  • The tie-break system shall be used only to determine the winning team in case both teams did not gain the required number of points to win a particular match.
  • The map for tie-break matches shall be selected by the Tournament Planner.
  • In case the tie-break match does not determines the winner (the last standing vehicles on both teams were destroyed at the same time), the tie-break match shall be replayed.

Tie-brake Regulations. Determining the Host Team

  • A host team in a tie-break is the team that gains the fastest victory as the attacking team.
  • If neither team wins as the attacking team, the total amount of damage caused in previous battles within one match shall be calculated (only for the attacking team). The team that causes the biggest amount of damage as the attacking team is the host team.
  • In case both teams cause the same amount of damage as the attacking team within one match, the host team will be determined randomly.
  • The host team will select the respawn on the tie-break map.
  • A round (a battle) of a tie-break will be performed in accordance with the standard regulations of the Attack/Defense mode (one team is defending, the other team is attacking).
  • Victory is achieved in accordance with the standard regulations.
  • The team that wins a tie-break battle is the winning team.

Battle replay

  • If during a match there is a technical failure at the server side of the game and if no one of the teams has a considerable advantage, the battle may be replayed. The referee of the match will decide about the replay of the match. The referee has the right to award victory to any team in any battle after watching the video recording of the battle.
  • If during a match there is a technical failure, the whole match will be replayed independently of the results of played battles.
  • The map for the replay match will be chosen by the referee of the match.
  • The advantage includes the following factors:
  • Detection of the opposing team’s vehicles
  • Inflicted damage
  • Points for capturing the base
The structure of the tournament

The structure of the tournament

The tournament consists of three stages:

  • The qualification stage (group stage + play-off stage)
  • Finals in the region (this stage is driven within the same region between winners of Qualification stage)
  • Super final in Nicosia (the winners from four regions will compete during this stage)

Tournament dates

  • Registration start date — October 3
  • Registration closing date — October 14
  • Qualification stage — October 17 - 21
    • End date may vary, depending on number of teams registered from each region
  • Finals in the region — October 24
  • Super final — November 14

Qualification stage

Group stage
  • The number of teams in a group will be determined after the end of registration. Groups are always formed on the basis of even distribution to secure the fairest conditions for all teams.
  • Distribution of ranks on the Tournament table will be performed in accordance with the total amount of points, received in each match:
  • A team shall receive 3 points for a victory
  • A team shall receive 2 points for a victory in a tie-break
  • A team shall receive 1 point for a defeat in a tie-break
  • A team shall receive 0 points for a defeat
  • In case two or more teams have the same amount of points, the ranks in the Tournament table will be distributed on the basis of the following conditions:
  • the results of all battles of the opponent teams
  • the difference of the won and lost battles in the matches between the opponent teams
  • the most number of battles won in all matches
  • the difference between the battles lost and won in all matches of the tournament
  • If a team is disqualified, all the points collected by the team, as well as the points won by the opposing teams in the battles against it, will not be counted and will have no influence on the position of teams in the final standing of the tournament.
Play-off Stage
  • The teams that take the first and second places in each group will go to the play-off.
  • The play-off stage will be played until the winner is determined
  • The teams that go to the play-off stage will be distributed according to the following formula:
  • The group A winner plays against the team that takes the second place in the last group of the tournament, the team that takes the second place in group A plays against the winner of the last group.
  • The group B winner plays against the team that takes the second place in the second last group of the tournament, the team that takes the second place in group B plays against the winner of the second last group etc.

Regional finals

The number of teams that go to the finals (according to the results of play-offs in each of 3 offices):

  • Emeryville office: 2 teams (finalists)
  • Seattle office: 2 teams (finalists)
  • Chicago office: 2 teams (finalists)
  • Austin office: 1 team (1st place winner)
  • Maryland office: 1 team (1st place winner)
Drawing for the finals in the region
  • A drawing will be used to distribute teams on the Tournament table. In the process of the drawing, teams are distributed by bins according to the office in which teams were qualified for the finals:
  • Bin A: Emeryville and Chicago offices;
  • Bin B: Seattle, Maryland and Austin offices
  • Drawing will be performed by Tournament Planners. Teams from the same office cannot be opponents in the first stage of the play-off.
  • The games in the finals will be performed in play-off format and according to standard regulations (victory conditions, defining the host of tie-break, team composition, number of points per team and etc.), used during qualification in each office.
  • Maps for the finals in the region:
  • Quarter-final: Prokhorovka (tie-break map: Himmelsdorf)
  • Semi-final: Mines (tie-break map: Prokhorovka)
  • Final: Cliff (tie-break map: Steppes)
