Skirmish XXXII: Tier X Throwback
Throughout the years, the Skirmish has seen a dramatic overhaul. This August, we’re celebrating the evolution of Wargaming’s most popular weekly tournament series by taking it back old school and showcasing past incarnations throughout the entire month.
This week, we illustrate a drastic change in how the Skirmishes were designed. Gone is the 64-team playoff bracket, replaced by three days of unseeded, 7v7, tier X group stage followed by multiple 16-team, single-elimination playoff brackets. All teams that participated in the group stage made it to the playoffs, with the top 50% of teams fighting for the chance for higher Gold rewards.
Don’t have the time to commit to an entire week? No problem, as teams can also sign up for only the weekend playoff bracket.
