Tankers!
Have you been dreaming of a setting in which the 7/42 tournament format is the norm? Are you having fun in the weekly Skirmishes , but are finding that you're looking for something with higher stakes?
Well you're in luck! The Championship Series is designed just for you. This series is a space for teams to battle it out, gain valuable tournament experience, and gold, all while keeping their skills sharp in-between regional and global World of Tanks tournaments.
The World of Tanks Championship Series is a seasonal league using the global-standard, pro format. The series contains three distinct leagues with each offering a unique structure.
Each Season will last approximately three months, and results from previous seasons will directly influence the line-up for the next season. Those at the top of either Minor or Open will advance up one level; while those at the bottom will drop down.
Qualification for the Spring Season begins on March 1st to determine berths in each league. The Spring season begins April 5th.
With a maximum of seven players per battle (10 players per team) a team must field a selection of tanks based on the below tier limits. Teams are limited to a maximum of 42 tier points.
The winner of each round is determined as the first to three victories.
Each battle will last 10 minutes max.
The standard battle mode will be used for this tournament.
Note that only 20 teams will qualify to the Major League and 40 teams will qualify to the Minor League. Teams will be placed in a multiple elimination bracket to determine the top 20 and top 40 teams.
The full schedule will be provided at the close of registration, once the final team count has been determined. Rounds for this qualifier, and every subsequent season, will begin at 7:30PM PDT (10:30PM EST, 3:30AM UTC the following day) each scheduled day. Curious what time this is in your region?
