Vehicle and Crew Recovery

No need to close the game client to reclaim accidently-sold tanks and dismissed Crewmembers: just a few clicks in the Garage are all it takes to return a precious vehicle or Crewmember with their combat stats, medals, Skills and Perks intact. 

The List

Here’s the content you can recover:

  • Crewmembers with at least one Skill or Perk or enough Experience to acquire it:
    • Can be recovered for free 48 hours after dismissal or for 60,000 Credits for another 30 days
    • Condition: you must have enough available bunks in the Barracks
  • Premium tanks (any vehicle that can be purchased for Gold)
    • Can be recovered up to 72 hours after sold
    • Condition: you must have an available Garage slot
    • Buyback cost in Credits: selling price +10%*
  • Rare tanks (special event vehicles, Premium tanks given as rewards, or those purchased but no longer available)
    • Can be recovered at any time, provided you have enough Credits to buy it back; any rare tank can be recovered once every three days
    • Condition: you must have an available Garage slot
    • Buyback cost in Credits: selling price +10%*

*Buyback Example

If you purchased a Premium tank for 10,000, then sold it for 50% of its Credit cost, recovering it costs you 2,000,000  + (2,000,000 x 0.1)  = 2,200,000. This formula is permanent. Special offers and discounts do not apply. 

Gold conversion to Credits :400 for every 1 
Example formula for vehicle conversion: 10,000  x 400 = 4,000,000*50% = 2,000,000

If you don’t have the required Credits but have enough Gold to buy the needed amount of Credits, you’ll get a chance to convert them to complete the recovery.

Types of vehicles that cannot be recovered:

  • Non-Premium tanks
  • Vehicles revoked by the Customer Service Center
  • Premium tanks, if their recovery period has ended
  • Rental tanks credited for completing missions (if their rental period has ended)

Master the Process


You can return eligible vehicles to your Garage via one of the following options:

  • The Tech Tree

  • The in-game “Store” tab

When recovering a vehicle via the Tech Tree, right-click and select “Recover the vehicle." You'll then see the buyback cost and the timer for how much longer you can recover the vehicle.

If you don’t have enough Credits, you’ll see a notification at the bottom and the Credits you lack in brackets next to “Recover the vehicle."

Once you have everything you need, simply click “Recover” and confirm to get the vehicle back in your Garage.

If you prefer to recover via the in-game Store, choose “Recover with Credits” in the drop-down menu on the “Vehicles” tab, and filter by vehicle type.

A list of available vehicles will appear with their buyback costs and recovery periods. Clicking one opens the vehicle window where you can reclaim the vehicle.


Every time you choose to dismiss a Crewmember, you’ll see whether or not they can be recovered.

Recover dismissed Crewmembers through the “Dismissed” checkbox in the Barracks. Hover over a specific member to open their personal record with their recovery period and cost.

To get the Crewmember back, click “Recover” and confirm this action in the pop-up window.

The “Dismissed” list maxes out at 100 Crewmembers. When it’s full and you’re about to send another Crewmember there, you get a notification that they will replace whomever has been there the longest.

Once restored, Crewmembers are not assigned to a certain tank. But this can be fixed in no time: just play a battle with the Crew you want, and the settings will return to what you’re used to.
