Announcing the IGN Prime World of Tanks Tournament

Tankers! Wargaming America has teamed up with IGN to organize the first official World of Tanks tournament in North America. This tournament will be action-packed, with the winning team taking home $3,000 in prizes.

To go along with the tournament, we’ve partnered with IGN to give away special promo codes offering the M3 Stuart light tank, one week Premium and 750 Gold! The giveaway is open to IGN Prime members, and anyone who signs up also has the option of signing up for the IGN Prime World of Tanks Tournament.

Tournament signup begins immediately and will end at 11:59PM PDT on October 2, 2011. The first round of the tournament is scheduled to begin on October 4, 2011 at 6PM PDT, with the first match starting at 6:10PM PDT.

Tournament Format

• 5-vs.-5
• 128 teams
• Tier III restriction on tanks, tier II restriction on SPGs and tank destroyers
• First team to two wins takes the round
• Maps will change each round, rotating between: Malinovka, Himmelsdorf and Mines
